Chelsea Brieman, Ph.D. | Licensed Clinical Psychologist

A little bit about me

I was born and raised in the very chilly state of Wisconsin, and I’m proud to be a UW-Madison alum (Go Badgers!). After college, I lived in Chicago while I completed my master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I moved around a bit after grad school before landing in Florida a handful of years ago, so now I have family and friends sprinkled across the country, and I try to visit them whenever I can.

Professionally, I have had over 14 years of experience providing psychotherapy, and I have received extensive speciality training to become certified in a number of evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs), including two of the “gold standard” treatments for PTSD and trauma-related symptoms.

In addition, I serve as a national trainer and consultant for two CBT-based EBP training programs that are designed to ensure that other licensed clinicians are able to competently implement those specialized treatments with their clients. In this role, I provide feedback to the therapists who are working on their certifications, and I train future consultants to be able to provide feedback to therapists in future training cohorts.

I’m licensed in New York, Florida, and Wisconsin, but I can actually see clients via telehealth in over 40 states under the PSYPACT agreement. (The current PSYPACT states can be found here.)

I look forward to hopefully talking with you soon!
